How the Reading Programmes Are Structured
Every Stovish programme follows the same underlying structure: a reading sent in advance, a facilitated small-group discussion, and printed materials that participants carry home. What changes between programmes is the duration, the subject matter, and the discussion format.
The Pension Reading Programme is documentation-led — CPF Board texts read and discussed over four weeks. The Family Finance Workshop is conversation-led — dialogue frameworks and scenario exercises over a weekend. The Mid-Life Planning Reading Circle is reflection-led — a four-month format using household money texts and peer journals.
Reading in Advance
Materials are sent before each session. Participants arrive prepared to discuss, not to receive a presentation.
Small-Group Discussion
Maximum twelve per cohort. The facilitation is structured to give every participant time to speak and to be heard.
Printed Take-Home Materials
Every programme includes a binder, glossary, journal, or card set. The reading continues after the session ends.
Programme 1 · 4 Weeks
Pension Reading Programme
A four-week reading programme that walks participants through the structure of Singapore's national pension landscape — the components of CPF Life, the structure of public payouts across age bands, and the standard vocabulary used in scheme documentation. The programme is reading-led: a chapter of public scheme documentation is sent in advance of each session, and the cohort meets weekly in a small group of twelve to discuss the reading. Purely educational; no advice or product recommendations are offered.
- Covers CPF Life components and payout structures by age band
- Introduces standard scheme vocabulary used in official documentation
- Includes printed reference binder and weekly glossary cards
- Private cohort summary newsletter after each session
- No prior knowledge of CPF required

Programme 2 · Weekend
Family Finance Reading Workshop
A weekend reading workshop on the language and conversation frameworks needed when household finances become a shared topic across generations — partners, adult children, and ageing parents. Participants work through prepared dialogue scenarios in pairs with structured reflection rounds between exercises. The intention is conversational fluency rather than decision-making during the workshop. Educational in scope; no advice is offered.
- Conversation frameworks for cross-generational household money discussions
- Paired scenario exercises with structured reflection rounds
- Printed conversation guide and scenario cards to take home
- Follow-up reflection circle session the following week
- Suitable for individuals, couples, or adult children attending with a parent

Mid-Life Planning Reading Circle
A four-month reading circle for adults aged 42 to 55 who want a slow, considered look at the household money patterns and routines of their working years. The circle is reflection-led: each session opens with a short reading and continues with structured small-group discussion. The format is educational and reflective; no advice is offered.
- Monthly sessions over four months — a genuinely unhurried format
- Reflection-led with structured peer discussion each session
- Clothbound reflection journal for marginal notes between sessions

Standards Across All Programmes
What Every Cohort Can Expect
Data Privacy
No participant financial data is collected. Cohort newsletters are anonymised. PDPA-compliant across all programme and administrative operations.
Verified Source Materials
All reading texts come from publicly available Singapore sources — CPF Board, MAS, and government household publications. Reviewed before each cohort cycle.
Qualified Facilitation
Facilitators hold recognised adult education or small-group facilitation qualifications. Session structure is reviewed annually against adult learning practice standards.
No Advisory Conduct
All facilitators are trained to redirect discussions away from personal recommendation or product comparison. This boundary applies in every programme, without exception.
Cohort Cap Maintained
Twelve participants maximum is a programme requirement across all three formats. The cap is never increased to accommodate higher demand periods.
Printed Materials Included
Every programme fee includes all printed materials for that programme. There are no additional material charges at intake or during the programme.
